This is an impressive effort though note that patience will be required.

There is ample richness to the round and generous medium weight flavors that display an interesting contrast between the sweetness of the mid-palate and the very dry and mineral-inflected finish. There is excellent intensity and this should make for a fine effort that will be ready in a few years but should hold for a long time if desired as there is impeccably good balance. Also recommended.

A lovely RSV that will require a decade plus to peak.

There is very good richness to the opulent, even lush, medium-bodied flavors that possess good verve while displaying solid depth and persistence on the mildly warm finale. Not surprisingly in magnum format, this is still developing and I would suggest holding it for another 6 to as much as 10 years. In sum, the '09 RSV is lovely if not genuinely brilliant.
