There is excellent richness and volume to the much more intense mineral-driven flavors that possess a silky and sophisticated mouth feel before culminating in a driving, bone dry, linear and wonderfully lingering finish. This built-to-age effort seems directly extracted from essence of stone. If you can find it, buy it.

There is a wonderfully seductive mouth feel to the big, rich and relatively powerful flavors that possess a borderline painful intensity on the citrusy, energetic, detailed, driving and hugely long finish. While there are any number of fine producers of Referts, Carillon is in my experience the reference standard and this wine only corroborates that conclusion. Brilliant.

There is outstanding volume and concentration to the very rich, round and generously proportioned medium-weight flavors that possess lovely intensity on the lightly mineral-inflected finish. As it almost always is, this is the class of the range outside of the Bienvenues and it should amply reward extended cellaring if desired yet thanks to the abundant dry extract, it should also be approachable and enjoyable young too.
