I am, as a very general rule, not a huge fan of the 2018 whites but this lovely effort is definitely an exception with its ripe, but not too ripe, and not exotic, blend of both spicy white and yellow orchard fruit scents. There is both good volume and reasonably good density to the attractively textured flavors that possess much better than average depth and persistence. Moreover, the finish is not detectibly warm and, best of all, the first glass calls for the second. In short, this is altogether lovely. I would add that while this has only just arrived at its apogee, it should continue to hold well for another decade and might even add more depth in the bargain.
