This will need a minimum of 12 to 15 years to fully come into its own.

This also exhibits real verve to the overtly mineral-driven medium weight flavors that terminate in a linear, dry in the best sense and refreshingly clean finish that is austere to the point of being Cistercian. This is certainly very pretty but the underlying phenolics are not quite as ripe, which is not really surprising given the position of Bel Air near the forest.

The suave and silky middle weight flavors also exude plenty of mineral influence before concluding in a vibrant and very firm finish where the supporting fine grained tannins are clearly quite ripe. This is a terrific effort though indisputably a wine for the patient.

There is good richness to the very tight, focused, detailed and mineral-driven middle weight flavors that are shaped by very ripe tannins on the austere and restrained but explosively long finish. This is an impressive Ruchottes that will need at least 6 to 8 years of bottle age to allow this firmly structured effort to unwind somewhat.

There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the detailed and attractively rich full-bodied flavors that possess ample dry extract that buffers the moderately firm acid spine on the agreeably dry finish. This opulent effort is a wine of power and punch and while not exactly classic it is more typical than the Puligny.
