The suave and very round middle weight flavors display good detail and a seductive texture, all wrapped in a pure, balanced and very harmonious finish that delivers excellent persistence. The depth isn't remarkable, at least not yet but the underlying material is present such that more may very well develop.

There is fine volume to the solidly concentrated medium weight flavors that manage to be seductive yet focused while displaying excellent length on the clean and dry finale. This youthfully austere effort is excellent for its level and recommended.

The succulent, even seductively textured medium-bodied flavors possess both good volume and density that contrasts somewhat with the bone-dry, moderately austere and borderline tannic finale. The Clos de la Maltroie is usually approachable young, but this sneaky long effort is going to require at least some patience. In a word, lovely.
