While the middle weight and mineral-inflected flavors do not possess the superb complexity of the very finest vintages of this wine I very much like the balance and the overall sense of harmony. For my taste this has now arrived at its full maturity though I underscore that it should be capable of holding here for many years to come. In sum this is an excellent if not genuinely great Roumier Ruchottes.

There is good volume to the deliciously round and succulent flavors that are blessed with solid amounts of structure-buffering dry extract before terminating in a firm and well-balanced finish. Good stuff that doesn't possess the distinction of the Les Cras but does offer plenty of Chambolle character and refinement.
