As is usually the case, this offers very fine quality for its level and is recommended.

This is not quite at its peak though full maturity is within sight. Like the Bachelet, the relatively elegant style of this domaine matches up nicely with the somewhat ponderous style of the vintage.

There is fine concentration and power to the mouth coating and overtly muscular broad-shouldered flavors that possess impressive intensity on the exquisitely balanced and lingering finish. This is definitely Charmes in that there is a generous side to it but at the same time, there is a taut muscularity and overall, while delicious and easy to appreciate, it's also clear that this will require around 15 years to shed its considerable tannic spine.

There is first-rate concentration, punch and power to the muscular and robust flavors that deliver impressive length for a villages level wine. This is really very good and recommended.
