This is quite a seductive wine with almost invisible structure as the pinot baby fat completely buffers it on the wonderfully persistent and mouth coating finish. An impressive effort with outstanding balance and I very much like the structural harmony here, which should permit the '05 Suchots to age effortlessly. A terrific effort.

This is a serious example of Clos de Vougeot but one that carries perhaps a bit less finishing austerity than usual. For the patient.

The gorgeously refined middle weight flavors possess a suave and silky mouth feel before culminating in a strikingly complex finish that seems to dance across the palate while delivering flat out huge length. This is still moderately firm yet with air it could easily be enjoyed now. Note that my score offers the benefit of the doubt regarding the brett as I have no other recent notes and thus I can't say whether this bottle was entirely representative.

This is a serious effort yet the ripeness of the '09 vintage tames the natural austerity of the terroir.

This is terrific and should age well.

This should be very special in time though like the '09 Reignots, there is so much sap and velvet that it should drink well young too if desired.
