The powerful medium-bodied flavors exude plenty of dry extract that confers a sappy texture upon the strikingly complex mid-palate though the saline suffused cuts-like-a-knife finish is chiseled, explosive and massively long. This is textbook Les Clos with size, power and explosive energy and offers a remarkable contrast to the Zen-like Preuses where its harmony and understatement are its primary strengths. One can admire both, but either way, they are impressive as hell.

There is excellent size, weight and energy to the overtly powerful and well-concentrated flavors that exude a fine minerality on the extract rich, clean and attractively dry finish. This is borderline aggressively saline and while it could certainly be enjoyed now, there is at least a few years of upside development remaining. In sum, this is an excellent effort in the context of the vintage.

This is really quite good and particularly so for the vintage though I would definitely advise at least some continued patience as this remains fairly tightly wound.

A notably ripe yet airy, cool and elegant nose offers up maturing notes of oyster shell, dried flowers and spice hints along with a hint of petrol. The equally fresh, pure and beautifully well-detailed medium-bodied flavors possess excellent intensity and plenty of verve on the racy, complex and solidly persistent finish. I very much like the delivery and this succulent effort is a bit finer than it usually is. I would offer one other observation and that is that the complexity seems to still be increasing and if this can add just a bit more overall depth, I could easily see my rating rise with it.

This is a classic Chapelot, which is to say a round and graceful wine that is already drinking well though for my taste, I would be inclined to hold it for a few more years first to allow more depth to develop. Tasted twice this year with almost identical notes.

The well-concentrated flavors possess a lovely sense of verve and the focus is maintained thanks to the moderately firm acid spine shaping the intense and strikingly persistent finish. I have tasted this several times in the past three years with mostly consistent reviews as the scores that have ranged between 93 and 94 points. Note that I say "mostly consistent reviews" because some bottles seem basically ready yet this most recent example (2019 bottle), was clearly in need of more time.

There is fiine richness to the stony, sappy and sleekly muscular middle weight flavors that display a lovely sense of harmony and vibrancy on the moderately dry and impressively persistent finish. Tasted several times over the last few years and based on this most recent bottle, my sense is that the '11 MdT has reached its peak. i would further observe that while it's presently in no danger of declining, I wouldn't suggest holding it for another decade either. Note that my scores have ranged between 92 and 93 points.

There is fine concentration to the round, caressing and if not exactly soft, then certainly forward medium-bodied flavors that exude a fine minerality on the admirably persistent finish. This is really quite good and still developing slowly and while it could certainly be enjoyed now, I would be inclined to allow it another 3 to 5 years of cellar time first. Note that I have had this several times over the past few years and some bottles seem a bit more advanced than others though not in the sense of premox.

Happily, two bottles tasted in May and July 2018 bottle were much better and possess plenty of Chablis character with its aromas of sea breeze, iodine, green fruit and lemon rind. The supple yet precise medium-bodied flavors are a study in restraint with their cool minerality and wonderful sense of underlying tension along with good power on the lingering finish. This is a big wine that is already drink well and while for my taste it's not quite fully mature, it's close.

By contrast, the mouth feel has added weight as the impressively intense large-scaled flavors brim with pungent minerality on the overtly powerful, driving and hugely long finish that coasts the palate with dry extract. This is still a big and powerful a wine that is clearly still on the way up and at this point in its evolution, I would advise continued patience.
