Tasting note: A very fresh yet introverted nose only reluctantly gives up notes of gentle spice, earth and cassis notes that are framed in enough wood to notice. The beautifully detailed and impressively layered flavors are shaped by ripe and firm tannins that impart a textured mouth feel to the mineral-driven and focused finish. This highly persistent and impeccably well-balanced effort is not only very stylish but quite classy as well. This is worth looking for as it should generously reward extended cellaring.
