Sweet spot
Tasting note: This is markedly more expressive with its bright cherry fruit aromas that are nuanced by hints of spice, iron-infused earth and wisps of smoke and game. Consistent with its usual flavor profile this is a big wine with plenty of muscle and power yet there is no hardness or toughness to the dusty, mouth coating and delicious finish that is less austere than it typically is. Like the Bressandes this should be terrific in time.
