Tasting note: A ripe and broad-ranging array displays plenty of earth and sauvage elements yet the fruit profile is on the higher-toned side with the usual elegance that Fourrier manages to coax from his wines. There is a driving minerality and lovely underlying tension to the succulent yet refined middle weight flavors that brim with dry extract on the noticeably warm and bitter cherry-inflected finale and the warmth is enough to detract from the overall sense of balance. To be clear, the warmth isn't fatal but with that said, neither is it subtle. Tasted several times recently with similar results.
