Tasting note: An elegant nose is comprised primarily of maturing floral and white orchard fruit aromas with top notes of citrus and Chablis-style mineral reduction. There is excellent mid-palate concentration and power to the overtly stony larger-bodied flavors that deliver excellent depth and persistence on the still ever-so-slightly austere finale. I like the balanced and this is a decidedly stylish Chevalier of class and grace and while it's not quite completely ready, another 4 to 6 years of keeping should see it at its best. Lovely.
