Tasting note: There is only a trace of secondary character present on the perfumed, elegant and expressive aromas of spice, red and dark pinot fruit, earth and as usual with this wine, a beautiful range of floral elements. The sleek, delicious and intense larger-bodied flavors possess evident power and excellent detail that also characterizes the balanced, complex and hugely long finale. This is seriously good and still quite young and wine that should repay another 5 to perhaps 8 years of cellaring. In a word, outstanding.
