Tasting note: In contrast to the advanced character of the 2010 Chambertin (see herein), this is fresh, cool and wonderfully expressive with a superb range of floral, spice and ripe fruit elements that are displaying only a touch of secondary develpment. The seductively textured, detailed, pure and vibrant broad-shouldered flavors display a subtle minerality before terminating in an explosive, powerful and tautly muscled finish that delivers massive length. This is at once powerful yet refined, indeed it is an all-time classic Rousseau B?ze. Moreover, it's still on the way up and while it's not so backward that it couldn't be enjoyed now, there remains at least another 5ish or so years of development potential. In sum, this is stunningly good.
