Tasting note: An ultra-elegant and high-toned nose speaks of cool and almost aloof aromas of truffle, wet stone, floral hints and red pinot fruit that is displaying whiffs of secondary character. There is fine precision to the intense and still tautly muscled medium full flavors that deliver fine if not truly special depth and length on the ever-so-slightly tangy finale. This is a lovely effort that is still developing and I would suggest holding it for another 5 to perhaps 8 years.
