Tasting note: A still reticent nose of plum, violet and dark berries is notably earthy and sauvage in character though it slowly becomes more expressive with air. There is a lovely sense of underlying tension to the delineated, muscular and overtly mineral-driven flavors that possess solid size and weight on the youthfully austere finish where a hint of bitter cherry arises. Note that moderate patience will be required as this is, not surprisingly given its youth, quite backward today.
