Tasting note: An interesting note of wild strawberries adds interest to the more typical aromas of raspberry, spice, earth and distinct floral nuances. The superbly intense, powerful, focused and wonderfully chiseled mineral-driven flavors deliver a palate staining, austere and brooding but seamlessly well-balanced finish where a hint of wood appears. This is at once refined and restrained though it's quite clear that this will, as is usually the case, require moderately extended cellaring.
