Tasting note: I have had mixed results with this wine but when it's 'on', it offers dazzling aromatic purity with its exceptionally pretty earth and spice-infused red berry fruit-scented nose. While the middle weight and mineral-inflected flavors do not possess the superb complexity of the very finest vintages of this wine I very much like the balance and the overall sense of harmony. For my taste this has now arrived at its full maturity though I underscore that it should be capable of holding here for many years to come. In sum this is an excellent if not genuinely great Roumier Ruchottes.
