Tasting note: A maturing nose displays notes of pain grill? that frame aromas of roasted nuts, peach, pear, anise and clove that evidence almost no exotic elements. There is good richness to the full-bodied flavors that brim with dry extract that confers a textured and seductive texture to the beautifully long and silky finish. This is not especially elegant but the depth and punch are impressive plus in the context of the vintage, this finishes quite dry. Note that for my taste this has arrived at its apogee though it should continue to hold well for another 5ish+ years if desired. Tasted 3 times recently with consistent results (and no premox).
