Outstanding
Tasting note: This is sufficiently ripe that it too flirts with a hint of exotic yellow fruit that adds another dimension to the floral, pear and white peach aromas. There is a wonderfully seductive mouth feel to the big, rich and relatively powerful flavors that possess a borderline painful intensity on the citrusy, energetic, detailed, driving and hugely long finish. While there are any number of fine producers of Referts, Carillon is in my experience the reference standard and this wine only corroborates that conclusion. Brilliant.
