Tasting note: This is still carrying enough wood to mention on the still agreeably fresh nose that is displaying the initial hints of secondary development along with plenty of earth, herbal tea and sauvage nuances. There is both good volume and punch to the delicious, round and nicely intense medium-bodied flavors that brim with evident minerality, all wrapped in an ever-so-mildly edgy finish. While this hasn't quite reached its apogee in terms of the underlying tannins, there is that kind of aged burg sweetness that suggests that this is probably drinking about as well as it's likely to and thus I would suggest drinking it up over the next 5 years or so.
