Tasting note: This has changed very little since my original review (see herein) with its expressive and notably ripe nose of sandalwood, violets, red berries and wide-ranging spice notes. The full-bodied and generous broad-shouldered flavors possess a seductive mouth feel as there is superb dry extract which buffers the moderately firm tannins and coats the palate on the strikingly long finish. This is a wonderfully harmonious, indeed to the point that the word "Zen-like" comes to mind which will enable it to be approached young but as the extended drinking window recommendation suggests, the impeccable balance will enable this to live for decades.
