Tasting note: A background soup?on of wood is sufficiently inconspicuous to allow the spicy, airy and notably cool mineral-inflected mix of violets and red and black fruit aromas to shine. The detailed, precise and attractively vibrant flavors possess a real sense of underlying tension as well as very fine grained tannins that confer a highly sophisticated mouth feel onto the balanced and distinctly floral finish. This is a knockout.
