Tasting note: (from a bottle opened at the domaine). At the time of my original review (see herein), I was concerned that this might not have the stuffing to eat its wood as it was imparting a noticeable bitterness to the finish. I am happy to report that it has done both, e.g., integrated its wood and dissipated the bitterness. The spicy and beautifully layered nose is at that sweet spot where it reflects a mix of both primary and secondary fruit along with exotic tea and floral nunaces. There is good vibrancy to the moderately concentrated and equally layered middle weight flavors that delivering fine length on the balanced finale. But it's the complexity that really sets this wine a part. I would add that for my taste this has just arrived at its peak and should be capable of holding there for another decade. In short, this is lovely stuff.
