Tasting note: A completely different nose that is somber, even brooding yet surprisingly refined with an emphasis on red and blue pinot fruit, earth and jerky trimmed in a deft stroke of wood that merges into textured, concentrated and serious full-bodied flavors that are well concentrated and wonderfully intense on the driving and energetic finish. This isn't quite as powerful as the Cazetiers but ultimately, there is just more here in the same fashion as there is more to the Cazetiers than any of the prior 1ers.
