Tasting note: A gorgeously perfumed mix of upper and lower register red berry fruit aromas also reflects hints of white pepper, stone and a whiff of the sauvage. This also exhibits real verve to the overtly mineral-driven medium weight flavors that terminate in a linear, dry in the best sense and refreshingly clean finish that is austere to the point of being Cistercian. This is certainly very pretty but the underlying phenolics are not quite as ripe, which is not really surprising given the position of Bel Air near the forest.
