Tasting note: The expressive, fully mature and ripe nose displays various floral and truffle nuances, citrus, stone, oyster shell and ocean breeze scents that are trimmed in just a hint of wood. There is fiine richness to the stony, sappy and sleekly muscular middle weight flavors that display a lovely sense of harmony and vibrancy on the moderately dry and impressively persistent finish. Tasted several times over the last few years and based on this most recent bottle, my sense is that the '11 MdT has reached its peak. i would further observe that while it's presently in no danger of declining, I wouldn't suggest holding it for another decade either. Note that my scores have ranged between 92 and 93 points.
