Tasting note: There is still a touch of wood, and a hint of menthol, surrounding the classic Blanchot aromas of an elegant and ultra-pure array of white flower, pear, mineral reduction and ocean breeze. There is simply terrific intensity to the especially rich and mouth coating flavors that brim with dry extract before culminating in a driving yet refined finish of impeccably good balance. Even at 11 years of age this gives the impression of being very young and I would be inclined to give it another 5 to 8 years of cellaring. In a word, terrific.
