Tasting note: This is still displaying some residual wood on the ripe yet restrained and pretty nose that features plenty of spice elements on the softly secondary red berry fruit and rose petal suffused aromas. There is good richness to the naturally sweet yet brooding and serious medium-full flavors that culminate in a still noticeably structured, dusty and mouth coating finish. I like the balance here and while this could easily be enjoyed now if given an hour or so in a decanter, for my taste I would advise holding it for another 8 to 10 years in this larger format.
