Tasting note: There is notable floral component to the spicy and toasty red berry fruit suffused nose that presently displays no hints of secondary development. There is a lovely sense of energy to the detailed, focused and appealingly intense broad-shouldered flavors blessed with plenty of dry extract that helps to partially buffer the wood on the lingering if ever-so-slightly warm finish. Despite the apparent size and weight, this is really a Riche of finesse rather than overt muscularity but even so, it should definitely reward another 3 to 5 years of cellar time.
