Tasting note: This is a relatively fresh '09 with an expressive nose that offers up notes of plum, cassis and very ripe black berry liqueur notes. The attractively textured and very rich flavors are supple, round and supported by relatively fine tannins and plenty of mouth coating dry extract. I like the balance and overall sense of harmony of this seductively textured example though it's worth noting that some might find this to be just a little too ripe as there are hints of mocha on the finish.
