Tasting note: There is a whiff of menthol sitting atop the softly secondary-inflected nose where additional breadth is present in the form of earth, spice, game and wood nuances. There is impressive richness and volume to the big-bodied and concentrated flavors that possess a lovely sense of underlying tension, all wrapped in a mildly austere but impressively long finish. This is still clearly on the way up but it's not so far away that it couldn't be enjoyed now. With that said, I would be inclined to cellar this for another 4 to 8 years. In a word, lovely.
