Tasting note: This hasn't evolved all that much from the last time I reviewed it at the domaine. A wonderfully airy, cool and pure if restrained nose is comprised by exceptionally fresh notes of violet, plum, cassis, wet stone and plenty of spice nuances. There is terrific delineation to the breathtakingly intense medium weight flavors that seem to be built on a firm base of minerality, all wrapped in a balanced, lacy, mouth coating and strikingly persistent if slightly lean finish. This is coming along quite slowly in magnum format and I would be inclined to let it sleep as it needs to add flesh to the finish, which it should do as the supporting tannins resolve.
