Tasting note: Strong reduction dominates the nose but there is excellent power, concentration and richness to the broad-scaled flavors that possess excellent volume, particularly on the mid-palate. Despite all the size and weight, the superbly long finish is linear and tension-filled. Like the Charmes, this is not at present highly complex and my range again offers the benefit of the doubt based on the excellent quality of the underlying material as well as the fine track record of this wine for rewarding long-term aging.
