Tasting note: There is a deft touch of wood framing the very gamy and truffle-infused nose that also displays plenty of floral character on the red and dark berry fruit aromas. There is good richness to the very tight, focused, detailed and mineral-driven middle weight flavors that are shaped by very ripe tannins on the austere and restrained but explosively long finish. This is an impressive Ruchottes that will need at least 6 to 8 years of bottle age to allow this firmly structured effort to unwind somewhat.
