Tasting note: Here too there is a mild wood influence to the wonderfully layered, ripe and dense aromas of dark berry fruit, plum and pungent earth. There is impressive concentration to the cool, delineated and intense medium-bodied flavors that are blessed with plenty of dry extract. This is a solidly powerful wine yet the mouth feel is sophisticated as the shaping tannins possess a very fine grain and I particularly like the sense of harmony on the long and palate coating finish. This is an exceptionally good villages and is worth a special search.
