Tasting note: An intensely floral and highly spicy nose of notably ripe yet cool and pure red, black and blue pinot fruit that also evidences red cherry nuances. The very rich, generous and voluminous broad-shouldered flavors retain fine focus and an excellent sense of overall balance as the firm tannins are well-buffered by the copious dry extract that should enable this to age for the next two decades. This is very '09 in style but there is no sense of undue heaviness or weight and about the only nit is a hint of backend warmth.
